This will be my largest 3d print project up to now.
Since I currently don`t have a 3d printer that works, a mate of mine printed it for me. Might seems like a lot of parts but it`s pretty simple in design. Lasse who is norwegian designed this and he has it available from several places. I downloaded it from Cults. The snowblower is called SBB280. I`ve ordered the hardware and one of the two motors from ebay (China) so there will still be a few weeks delay before the parts arrive. Bearings, 80t crawler motor and 1060 esc will be bought local. It also needs 360 degree servo. I will modify one of my own for this to keep cost down. So far it has costed me: Downloads 16 euro Filament 49 euro Ebay 85 euro So 150 euro so far, still need to buy crawler motor, bearings, esc and lights. Lasse has also made a killer assembly video of it Beside screws it needs: 80t lathe crawler motor JGB37-555 500rpm reduction motor for auger. Hobbywing 1060 ESC running both motors on 3s (12v) 3x 5x11x4 bearings 4x 3x8x4 bearings 2x 8x22x7 bearings GT2 belt 10mm wide 200mm long loop (100t) GT2 16T pinion 10mm wide 3.17mm bore GT2 32T gear 10mm wide 8mm bore 5mm rod (altread) for auger. 8x59mm rod 360 degree servo for shute. 5, 6 and 8mm flanged couplers. This will go in front of my 6x6 partsbin truck with Bullhead body. I will also add lights to the snowblower. |

Snow ... I remember that
On the other hand do you think it would work on cherry blossom, or Beech leaves & nuts?

Haha!!
Here it has been 50cm+ and about -7C every day since new year till mid February. After that it has been 6-7 degrees most days and even rain. So sadly to report the snow is now rotten. I hope there will come some more later, but most likely not. If I can`t manage to test it in the mountains (2 hour + ride from here it will stay untested till next winter. Winter came late this year but we had snow since new year. Some years we have snow in late October and some years it may stay till beginning of May. But there is still about 30cm snow, just not on the roads anymore. I did wanted the snowblower to be yellow with red augers, but I think my mate mixes his and mine up when he printed them. But red is not bad. Some real ones are still red. Been drooling for a Spyker snowblower for years but they are crazy expensive (easy 800 euro) and the man behind Spyker has got a illness and have not seen anything new from him for a while. This will be under 250 euro with everything. |

Reused the truck mount for my snowplow and made some links to the the snowblower.
Needs spacers etc. But it works. Needs a servo delay module as the snowblower bangs into ground. Won`t be better when all the electroics are fitted.. www.youtube.com...fclExu5eoA |

I have now switched over to my Radiolink receiver with 6 channels.
The funnel now works from servo. The lightbar on truck work from transmitter. I googled how to set aux servo speed on the AUX channels on my RC6GS V3, since there is only dedicated servo speed settings on the steering and throttle channel, google said you have to use the mix channels (SMIX01 or 02), but it did not work. So I have ordered a servo speed module to connect between servo and receiver. Should probably use servo acurator, but servo will work for now. Just hope the module works both was as now it just drops the snowblower when using the switch. Now resting on the shelf in the hallway. Here is how I might wire my truck. My truck runs on 2s but the snowblower needs 3s to work. Don`t know if esc will work only by signal wire as it will use 3s power. But I know servo works very well like that. My steering servo on my SCX10 Rod is using just signal from receiver and direct battery power. Today I made a shelf rack in the hallway as I have no space left for vehicles. |
