Finally the two last packages for this arrived this week, the flange couplers and servo speed module.
It`s now finished, just need to secure the wires to the truck. My lift servo struggles, but got a lot better when direct connected to the battery. The battery connection has a JST connector so I wired the servo directly to that and just using the signal to the receiver. The module use all 3 wires and since it`s connected from receiver to servo it get all the power and signal it needs. So here is the servo lift action. As you see the servo module works in both directions. Before the snowblower slammed into ground when you lowered it. I might be able to test it this weekend if there is snow left at the ski resort. It`s actually hail/snowing where I live right now. And typically I have swapped over to summer tires earlier this week (deadline is next Monday). So if snows or gets icy, I`m stuck. Not going to swap over tires again. I`m knackered as it is. Edit: Here is the auger test. Since I have no channels left I wired the 12v cob ledstrip to come on with the motor. |

Since there is forecasted rain every day to Wednesday in the ski resort area, I want to make it more ready for snow and tidy some things up.
First I wanted to collect the wires for the working lights down the shute. I used a 1.5 pianowire bent it to shape and glued it to the shute. Then stripped a few strands of a wire and used that to secure the wires to the rod... Needed to waterproof my shute servo so in my case I used Plasti Dip. My can is about 10 years old but still good to use. Have about 1/3 left. Going to cut the drooling when dried. The snowblower is very heavy now at 1420 grams complete. When I first completed the snowblower I had one problem. The GT2 gear on the 8mm shaft was rubbing hard on the cover, which nearly burnt my lathe motor. Luckely I caught it in time. I had to take my angle grinder and grind off about 3mm to clear the rear cover. Don`t know if it was the thickness of the gear or the 3d print in the hole was not deep enough, but fixed now. This was prior to the test. Shaft is cut at 59mm as per manual. But seems a tad short as I have same inset on the other side. But he did add a spacer on the other side in the final version so he might have forgotten to add a few mm to the length. I grinded down the gear to the same hight as the shaft so the added length might be at the gear as I bought it from ebay, not from aliexpress as stated in the parts list links.

You could try with polystyrène balls in your saloon. And if it works, you have all the next seasons to catch all balls. 👼👼👼😇😇😇 polystyrène balls could be a good test.

That was short lived!
Drove to the ski resort 30min away this evenig, thankfully there was still snow... But the Integy 65t impeller motor caught on fire almost immediately!!!! Thankfully I managed to pull the 3s battery connector and throw some snow on the motor to put out the fire/cool it down. Safe to say that old motor did not like 3s power! The snow rock hard so I kicked a bump with my foot to loosen it up some and the snowblower chewed it like nothing. Backed up and did a second test and as I was finished driving over the hump the motor caught on fire. Less than 1m traveled. Plan was to test it working, then take shuffle a few loads with snow and then drive through with camera rolling. Never got that far.... So next task is to buy the recomended Hackmoto 80T motor that is ment/can be run on 3s. My LHS has it in stock so I will take the trip tomorrow or Friday. Depending on the weather I will test again as soon as possible. |

I totally forgot to post the successful test I did a week ago.
The snow was really heavy and clogged quickly, but it works. And I have swapped out the burned 65t motor for a Hackmotor VT 45t. Fresh snow should work without problems. |
