Jon your build thread has helped me out a lot you have highlighted all the pitfalls i even used your drift idea to insert the bearings in to the axle drive gears worked a treat
One thing im not very impressed with is the polycarbonate driver it lacks realism even though its been cut out perfectly it just looks a little pants i think. I have a spare Marui Hunter injection moulded driver figure here im wondering if i could make a mount for him and fit him in instead? he certainly has a lot more detail to him. what do you think of this idea? |

Sure does look nice im still undecided which way to go yet i had a little mishap earlier while fitting the outdrive gears on to the gear pivots the manual stated to use lock thread on the screw that fits inside the drive cups to lock them on to the shafts. I did this only used a tiny amount but it ran down the thread and on to the shaft and when it went off it locked the bearing to the shaft so it didnt have any free play on one side

The RC10 driver is no better & no worse than other vacform figures I've seen ... It's a bit poor on the details but at least it does have a seat, dashboard & other bits as part of the sculpt - unless you're going to replicate that, I suspect any styrene figure is going to look a bit lost |
