What make/model motor is it? I'm pretty sure it will have some sort of marking on it, you'll just have to look closely ... f'rinstance the Tamiya GT Tuned motor has a small + right next to the outward end of the shaft, LRP Buggy Special 2 has a similar mark, plus + & - printed very small on the label, an Orion Element 19T has colour coded doodads where the brushes connect ... they're just what I have loose ATM, my point is they do have identification on them...
If there really is nothing, I'd guess the contact at 3 o clock in your photos is the +ve terminal, the one at 12 is -ve. One way to test what + & - should be is to connect a battery directly to it; try as I suggested above, if it spins faster that way than when you reverse the connections then it has advanced timing & the connections are right, it it spins faster when you reverse the connections then my guess was wrong. If it spins the same speed both ways then it has neutral timing & it doesn't really matter, you can just swap the bullet connectors over. Personally I think I'd use crimp connectors unless you're going racing & the difference really matters - look for 4.8mm spades, e.g. |

Thanks Jon its an etronix 19 turn it did have a sticker on it saying sport tuned but it was not stuck on properly and kept peeling off and it was a little too bling and shiny so i peeled it off so its just a black can. it was not marked with + or - signs though just the direction of turn.

If it has a direction specified then it has some degree of advance, so try temporarily connecting a battery both ways ... I'd take it out of the car 1st though |
