Just noticed a printing error in the manual i think on page 10 rear bulkhead build step 1 tell you to use the forward holes when mounting the rear arms see pic below:
however if you use these holes the rear arms dont seem to line up well with the drive cups and drive shafts? if you use the rear holes they line up perfectly however? see pic below or am i doing something wrong here? Jon how did you attach yours? |

I went with the kit setup (forward holes) ... I'm not sure, but if you look at the setup sheets at the back of the manual (page 31 specifically) it hints as this being the "LWB" (long wheelbase) setup, with the rearmost holes being the "SWB" version

The HP Freak referred to extra fuel line shims to go in to the rear shocks that are not in the manual can you explain what parts he was talking about as im at this stage now?

Beats me, tube under the pistons to reduce the overall length of the shocks?

HI!... Yes. Use some small rubber tubing. Most guys just use nitro fuel tubing. Cut a piece about 10mm long and slide it up the shock shaft before you install it into the shock body. The shafts are actually too long for this cars set-up. It was the same back in the day also.

Great thanks for the advice i can only make up the rears for now as im still waiting for my replacement e clip from AE. When installing the front shocks you refer to switching the mounting point around to stop rubbing is it the upper or lower point on the shock? Thanks

Ok i have a newbie question to ask i dont deal with anything generally other than silver can motors as i tend to shelf queen most of my cars however this was given as a gift with this 19 turn motor and 14 turn esc. The motor wires are not yet connected i have mounted it but need to know which motor posts to solder negative and positive wires too? am i right in thinking it will determine which direction the motor runs in?
