the originals are cast alloy like the bruiser axle and will disintegrate just looking at a drill.
I tried it on a piece that hat the bit broken off where the original bearing gets on but after closer inspection saw that it was already full with small fractures. (and bits broke off, could have been the drill) I think there may be loads of M38 lying around with these parts broken that can be saved if the part I draw can be made from alloy or plastic and come with an hex adapter for the axle. (got an idea there will make a sketch later on) now think the smaller bit away, two bearings inside and then an hex adapter with a threaded spline at the axle |

Maybe, but you do need to check the outside diameter - any larger will overgear the car & make the motor overheat - I used tried Lunchbox tyres & melted the heatshrink right off the motor Smaller is ok - I also tried Grasshopper/Scorcher rears ... it looked a bit silly but went ok. |

they are just a little smaller than the originals, think they came from a TLT.
Diam is 97 and width 56 they have asymetric rims, bigger inside diam. now I only need somebody who can make the axle and hex adapter proto's. hint hint how did you fit the lunchbox tires, were you the one who adapted the rims from the LB? that was pretty nifty. |
