Have you got anywhere with this? I've only seen 5 pairs of vintage balls myself (boom! boom! :D ) & none have the cracking problem, but as I only have one spare set of the cast Willy balljoints myself, I'm not really that keen on giving them up or sacrificing them to science ATM as the probability of me getting another willy at some point is quite high ...

A while back eddrick mentioned balls, how about something like ebay item # 271381900132 (18mm nylon balls intended for machine lever ends)? Bored out (& possibly narrowed) these could slip right on a custom made bit, I don't see it would be a problem if the ball wasn't fixed down, though an interference fit would probably be better :)

Hey guys first of all thanks to answer to me :).
I live in catania. and what i looking for is the exact misures of the front hub, the metal part in the picture.

I found an hub on ebay , with axel and bearing , a complete set i mean(and that's all i need) but i don't if the misures are ok ! and all shops in my city try to rob my money
but i know the cost is not expensive actually

Clacchisi, show us a picture of what is broken on your car and maybe we can find a solution.
And other pictures are welcome too.

after sorting through screws bits and M38 pieces for over three hours this idea just apperated. :woohoo:
I somehow got these steering bits and bling 1+1 put together came up with this.

M38 front arm, ? steering knuckle, some bushings and a M chassis front axle.

I've found that most 1/10 steering hubs are very close in measurements, if only a washer to space or file to fit :)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

From memory I am sure these knuckles have 1050 bearings and the height is a couple of mm less than the ones I have in my TA/DFs. I will measure them tonight.
