I just ruined my 3rd attempt to paint my Willy driver figure.
Yesterday I bought 00 and 000 I Italeri brushes and it was NOT easier to paint the harness border lines!
I even taped one side and free hand the other. And I did not come close to get even lines.
Have I said before that I hate painting driver figures?? Well I do!
My second least favorite thing to do in this hobby is to paint bodies, but at least I get a decent results. I just find it boring!
But hand paint stuff is just not my thing! I take a spraycan any day of the week over brush painting.

I just had to walk away today. It ruined my mojo..

Why you don't use oil pastels? You just have to write the lines and fade with a brush. You have the effect and if it's not enough redo it or wash it and redo it. I did that on pilots and scales, and that works. I did that method on a tam tank some 20 years ago and it's still visible.

Detail painting takes a steady hand.  Which i also don't have.

The window trims on 1/24 scale cars.  Just hurts me to look at them, and that's before I've even started

It does take a steady hand..... kind of. I used to have the same frustrating mixed results you guys are talking about until I tried different ways of holding the brush, mixing free hand with tape and also two hands on the brush and simply moving my fingers very subtly in very short strokes. lots of practice on second hand models was the way for me, also proper eyewear as I got older. LOL

Don't give up and keep trying, if I can do it, literally anyone can!! LOL  (You should see some of my early work!! )

Just ordered 2 of these 41mm jar holder stand. These are made by HobbyZone.
Time to have a proper place for my 23ml jar PC paints.

...

You really have getting on for 168 pots of PC paint? And just what are you planning to do with such untold wealth ? Twiddle your moustache while going BUHWAHWAHHA :D ;)

I'm impressed - I have about one tenth that, less than half are full and only around half are useful colours (I've got more of the varieties and multiples of green than I'd ever really want to use), and what is there I daren't use other than exceptionally rarely because where would I get replacements...

Haha. I doubt I even own half of that, even 1/3, but I have other makes of paint as well and I wanted to make sure I could fit them all, even the holes will be oversized.
I have a half ice cream box full of Revell/Humbrol 14ml jars.
Might have done a hasty purchase as the second one could have been the 36mm variant. Think the Revell ones are about 30mm.
I also have a few of the 10ml Tamiya jars as well a handful of Vallejo.

Think I need to count my paints lol

Paint counted:
PC 23ml 46pcs
5x orange
5x blue
5x royal blue
5x sea blue
5x olive green
2x smoke
3x gold
2x copper
2x metallic green
5x red
2x metallic purple
5x purple

13x Humbrol 14ml
10x Revell 14ml
3x Tamiya 10ml
2x Billing Boat 22ml
3x Italery 20ml
2x Vallejo 17ml

That`s 79 bottles! There is 60 holes in each rack.
At least I have space for plenty of new bottles & glue etc!

The 23ml PC jars I got in a trade many years ago.
I do have a cheap airbrush, but I need a airbrush pump. But it`s a lot down at the list of things I want..
