These are really hard to find, but you might be lucky. One option is to make an extension piece for the Scorher mount. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

Yeah it's a pain in the butt looking for one, it's the last piece of the puzzle. My best friend is a machinist who has a small shop at his house, I brought it to him a few months ago and I thought he forgot but it turns out he has been really swamped with other customers (that will pay him) so I just have to wait. I would be willing to pay him but he won't have anything to do with that. He must feel it's better to wait and it be free. I never rush him because I know when I do get it it will be perfect. I did finally call him last night and it turns out he has been fighting a condition he has for the last few months, but he is back to good health and says he'll be on my part so as can be. Thank's for the time to send me some good info larbut

Check out my custom Ford F150. I make use of a Sand Scorcher mount. I still have not finished my truck yet due to some health issue.

Did we get anywhere with getting Ranger front post dimensions?
Having compared the manual step for the Ranger & Scorcher I can get a pretty close match of the line drawings after a bit of resizing & rotation - but that makes it very obvious the two are not very similar, the Ranger post: - has greater overall length (but we already knew that); - appears to have the grub screw hole at a lower point - wide diameter is the same, but taller; - angled part is much shorter - narrow diameter is the same, but taller; - top clip part appears to be taller, fatter - and probably has a hole through like mk2 Scorchers instead of the machined recess on the mk.1? The images aren't of sufficient quality for me to extrapolate Ranger post dimensions from a Scorcher post Scorcher: Ranger: One image resized, one rotated and the two overlayed: If all the other bits are "right", then this must be too? |

Should have seen this before, but I can take measurements of my Ranger body post, if that's what you need.

Yes please - I've been looking at my mk.2 SRb chassis recently & I'm not particularly happy with either of the body choices I've got for it (white/ruby red re-re shell, re-re shell heavily modified into "Budget Bug" Baja racer) & am half thinking about making a faux Ranger out of it ...
Not trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs - overall length (I'm assuming it has a rounded base so that really needs to be measured with it on a flat surface) - outside diameter at base - length of thickest section - position of grub screw hole - length of tapered section - OD at reduced diameter - length of that reduced diameter - OD at clip section - length of that clip section - position of body clip hole & diameter - Internal diameter at base - depth of that first ID (from a hypothetical flat surface I guess) - ID of the second internal step (if possible) - depth of that step |
