Like water off a duck's back - I'm not from the fens, I just reside here. Besides what's so wrong about it? Don't let your sister out & you'll never get an STD

V posh! Seems a shame to be mounting SRB running gear on it though!

Never quite sure whether or not to be impressed by stuff like this - sure it's sexy & impressive, but it was made by robot, very little human skill/time went into producing it, & people pay silly money for stuff that's being pumped out 3 per minute with no human effort. But where/how else can we have stuff like it? I certainly wouldn't want to hand make it!

I've got an A2 sized Spiderman engraved on a sheet of polypropylene at work, it's intricate & awesome, but I watched the machine do it (CNC router) & I keep it to remind me that all that was involved on my part was to download the pic, plonk a lump of material on the machine & press "go"

Think of all the human effort that went into making the machine that did it though :)

Good point, very little - throw cash at the Chinese & you too can own one, bet none of the machine's components are hand made either, just unskilled labour to do the nuts & bolts up!
Sorry, I just get annoyed at society thinking robotically mass produced stuff should be admired & desired. I personally like to see something that has some effort/passion put into it to earn that admiration & desire.

Sorry Dasbeermeister, it's very nice & I like it, please don't take it personally.
It's just unfortunate for me that it brings up my passionate hate for the modern world, things we consider "better" by misinformation & the impending loss of skilled people doing skilled stuff because it's easier & cheaper to make stuff that looks cool

This ones not Chinese. Limited one time run from Rouge Elements Components. Made in the USA by one guy.

Don't take any notice, I can just be a whiney old tossbag at times & my mouth often gets going before my brain has a chance to stop it...

It's a beautiful part & I hope it causes you to drool excessively! Do the right thing & build something REALLY cool with it!

Not a big fan of modern world producing either. Durable goods tend to fall apart before your eyes nowadays. :S
Coming back on the TL-01, I think it's a bit overdone that you have to take apart the whole chassis to change the front gears...

WR01 and WR02 chassis (gearboxes) are also a pain to service but that doesnt needs to be done that much. Oh and talk about a CR01 that needs full service :S

Yeah, but how often do you need to fix front gearboxes? Can't say I've ever had to replace any gears in mine, they're really over-engineered for the job they're doing!
It's easy enough to split the chassis in any case - from memory you don't even have to dismantle any suspension or drive components, in fact, I think I'm right in saying even the radio/electrics can stay put to do it, it's really only the motor, outer steering link ball joints & a few screws stopping you splitting the chassis (Possibly F+R bumpers too? Can't remember).

The Highlift however... that requires a lot of dismantling to get the gearbox out & split to change a motor &/or pinion!
