The FedEx guy brought me one today. Got it for about a 10th the price of the couple that are on eBay. I'm out of TS-17 so I've got some on the way. I'll definitely do a build post and having serious thoughts about buying a 3d scanner or turning an Xbox Kinect into one so I can print a runner body.

Thanks. I'm still extremely surprised I got it for as cheap as I did. The same site had a NIB Blazing Blazer a few months ago that went for well over $2000 USD.

Because I couldn't find a Yeti Rock Racer, Axial isn't manufacturing it anymore, I've focused on cars that look like it, or come from that era about 10-14 years ago when these types of vehicles started appearing. The word "Discontinued" keeps haunting me. It's like I'm searching for my 'princess' only to find that she's lost forever, instead there are many others similar to her, although not .. *her*. And should I by any chance meet my loved one, most probably she'll be fat and ugly by now and a new string of nightmares will begin.

.. I need more walls.

Recently a couple of people have started posting up 3D printed parts for the Cheetah, for sale on eBay.
So far out of interest I have bought a set of torsion bars for the suspension.
I bought a set of side pillars as well.
And yesterday this turned up, a full lens set. My main interest is in the actual head lights. The rear lights seem to pop up fairly regularly and I think I’ve a few original sets of the indicators.
I’ve yet to test fit, but I’ll report back. It’s nice to see an attempt at details on the head lights.
I also have a couple of 3D printed steering wheels on the way as well, I’ve found these surprisingly difficult to get hold of.

As much as I like to try keep things original, with 6 of these bodies potentially waiting to be completed, I’m happy to cheat if necessary.

Another 3D printed part for the Cheetah has arrived.
That’s a real part on the right. I’m thinking a touch of semi gloss black on the 3D printed part should make it look better.
I bought a couple of these steering wheels because it’s the one part I’ve really struggled to find for this model.

The 3D printed parts look really good. It's something I've always been interested in but the software is far too complicated for me.

Hi Sam, I agree. Part of me keeps thinking I’d like to get some kit and give it a go. But then when am I going to have the time.
🤷‍♂️
