Been very busy lately fulfilling a dream I have had for a while now and the pics below will explain. I raced BMX here in the states in 81-84. For the last 3 years I had/used a Skyway TA that was totally decked out. Given to my brother it subsequently got swiped and never seen again. Probably resides at the bottom of the local river if I had my guess......

Although this is a re release it is as close as I will ever come to the original and was lucky to find it, thus began my journey to replicate my former racer.....

Here is the beginning stages.....

This is so awesome! You'd probably enjoy my 1987 GT Performer that I'm restoring with the parts I had as a kid.

Trying to catch up since my absence, and I think these are the only items besides a couple more motors here and there:

One of these amazon sorters (www.amazon.co.u...MKC9K?th=1) arrived on my birthday, dimensions are approx. 42cm by 34cm, current price is a smidge under 8 GBP, plus postage.

The removable/moveable compartments might be a benefit under some circumstances, but without the ability to buy additional compartments of different sizes (unless you buy another sorter), the selection provided is very much a compromise.

I certainly don’t feel the need to buy the number I’d need so all my sorters match this one.  For the moment, it’s going to live out in the shed, filled with my all my crimp on Lucar connectors. I stopped using them before the last turn of the century (preferring to do any such joints properly with brass connectors and solder), but I don’t want to throw them away just yet. :)

ETA – didn’t realise it but I’ve unconsciously moved all the compartments from the random pattern they arrived in to something evenly handed, purely by putting the connectors in random compartments, then rearranging so like components were near to others … I also see that I need to go back & swap 4 compartments side to side so the match on a colour basis too

Tower Hobbies had a decent sale a while back so I picked up this Lancia. Huge fan of the body, wish it had the large arches for the ORV chassis but this is nice too. Also got some extra period Skyway decals and a 6 disc changer for my 1990 Pioneer CD player.

Right Flo, but the first gen had the large wheel arches for the ORV. Always wanted that one but soooo rare......

Jim your so right about scarcity, I have no idea how well they sold originally, I’ve been close a couple of times to get my hands on one, but they just keep slipping out of my grasp.
