Hi guys,

I run 4 packs using the ball diffs. Huge difference. The car is much more drivable with the brushless/lipo power.

The last thing, I hope :), I have to tune is the shocks.
  1. They are too stiff. The rear tower mount is already broken on the side where the screw can't have a nut. And the front tower mount go through the same problem. The two screws popped out at some point on my last run. I will try to put the springs that come with the original kit.
  2. I have a problem with one cap. It keeps popping out. I think the thread is broken because when I try to lock it, it skips and the cap get loose. Maybe I will try different solution like this . They are cheap, so why not trying.

Good to hear the ball diffs work well. :y:
Is that shock cap problem with the GPMs? Sounds kinda weird for alloy...
The other issues are quite typically DF-01. Softening the suspension should indeed spare the plastic more.

Not sure if they are genuine GPM: link .
I will try to put some silicon tape to see if it helps.

I have to make the car bottom up more easily so the chassis could absorb more.

Thanks for the proposition. I use the carbon fiber tower. So no problem on this side. My problems comes from the attaching points on the gear boxes, front and rear.

Or maybe thread lock? The tough kind...
Not a fan of RC Damper anymore. The alloy uprights I got from them look exactly like GPM but are just not up to spec.
Tbh, I think you may have overpaid on those shocks. They probably buy 'em for 2-3 euro a piece.
That's what these cost :

Spring on those was hard as rock too.
Best place for GPM stuff in my book is Asiatees .
Or you $50-60 you could go G-made :

Ah ok, already gave away one of those at funkindemup. He had the same problem ;-)

Bummer on the new blue gearboxes.
I'm using 2x12mm countersunk on the front (GPM on road shock tower) - hoping that'll give a bit more bite...

Yep Edou you're right. Those shocks are highly overpriced. I've should have look better before buying them. But I was not sure how to find shocks that would have fit my DT.

Those Gmade shocks are great. I will continue to look around. I will probably put 75mm front and 85 mm rear.

Those lengths might be a bit short. The CVAs on the Top Force are about 87mm front and 92mm rear.
Best chances to get an easy fit will probably be 85-90mm...
Of course there's a bit of room to adjust length (damper spacing, different lower shock mounts) but not a great deal.

If I ever get the chance, I'm thinking of putting Big Bore (extra beefy) shocks on my FRP car. B)
