I spent a lot more time drawing up the graphics for cutting out in 4 colours of vinyl. TBH I’m not entirely sure what the paint is, I was quite sure it was Ford Signal Orange typing this up, but having looked at the pictures I think it might be left over RAL 2003 from my Hagglunds build.

I also sprayed a new (HCT ’15) set of wheels in gold, made a new splitter in red styrene pinseal sheet. The ‘roo bar came from Shapeways. I’m not sure it’s necessary, or even desirable on this colour scheme TBH. The orange on Willy’s helmet is a Vallejo colour, I didn’t test it beforehand so it’s entirely my fault that it doesn’t match.

you could make a fast intervention vehicle with the unimog.
we have the same color intervention vehicles on our highway.
Or a warsteiner version?

Love the variations!
Honda City Turbo is one of the Tamiya chassis and body I don`t have in my collection.
I see a few pop up time to time tho..

But I`m completely out of shelf space.
I have a spare 110x220cm section in my hallway I`m thinking of making a shelf system.
Since Ikea stuff is either 80 or 120cm width, I have to make something myself.
Currently my speedrun project takes all my funds and some atm, so things have to wait nearer winter..

I have a lot of Würth decals spares as most of my Capri bodies came with those.
Feel free to contact me if you want these to make a Würth version

Bent reduction gearbox backplate explains the stiffness in & growling from the transmission.

No idea how it got like that, there's no evidence of any impact, and I don't know how you could apply enough torque while assembling it to do that.

Not the first time I've seen one bent like this, but the other was on a very well used Wild Willy.

Gears inside are incredibly clean and free of wear, the pinion is the shiniest I've seen outside of an NIB car.

I have removed the paint from the body parts.I will probably have to clean the rest of the chassis parts before I put them in the parts box.

Body dismantled & ready for paint stripping:

After 1st pass with Fuze Biostrip:

... and After 2nd pass. Sun came out so it looks even more yellow. Still need to do quite a bit of chipping & sanding to get the last bits of paint off.

Driver is a lot cleaner, I've also plugged the hole in the back & since cut it back, sanded, filled & sanded again.

I gave the "glass" a good going over with Novus "heavy" and "light" scratch remover, you can see the ruined cutting mat a lot clearer now
