25°C isn't excessively warm, but it resembles a "dry" coat where it's shot from too far away or otherwise dried before it'badword the surface, if it's powdery or rub of then that seems possible ?
Could it be insufficient mixing ? Or if it's just a super light dust coat then that will look fairly matt too ? |

Generaly, it makes that when it's too cold. I will retry at home next week. And mix the can longer.
The body was contamined but I washed it and dry it before paint.

Been very busy lately fulfilling a dream I have had for a while now and the pics below will explain. I raced BMX here in the states in 81-84. For the last 3 years I had/used a Skyway TA that was totally decked out. Given to my brother it subsequently got swiped and never seen again. Probably resides at the bottom of the local river if I had my guess......
Although this is a re release it is as close as I will ever come to the original and was lucky to find it, thus began my journey to replicate my former racer..... Here is the beginning stages..... Attachments: |

That's a super clean looking build there ^^.
Meanwhile, I have another fleabay purchase; Not quite a time capsule, the box has some corner wear, but the contents are complete / bagged / sealed. Acoms Mk.III in an early edition box, on Band 1. AS-5S servos inc. factory fitted horns & and ARC-227 receiver, plus all the fittings, pennant etc. all in sealed bags |

Too nice Jacque. Will you put them on a rc or keep this set on a shelf?

I used to hate the idea of things being just sat on a shelf untouched, just gathering dust & lying unused for the purpose they were intended, but now I can understand this approach a little better. The truly NIB sets will stay NIB (currently this Mk.III and the Mk.IV I acquired a couple of weeks ago). I have a huge amount of vintage radio gear, mostly Acoms & Hitec, but I also have a couple of more modern modular TX's & I am slowly collecting the necessary modules to reduce my active fleet of transmitters to just two Hitec Optic6. I have a Sanwa 27MHz AM module & I'm waiting for a Hitec / Futaba adaptor. I have a number of other modules too. I suppose I should really document the modular TX project in it's own thread?

So, technically the mail man has not yet brought this to me, the auction only finished 5 minutes ago, but hopefully this will be with me in the next 2~3 days;
