Thanks a lot.  Me to. Better picts later but it needs bbs bee nest gold rims and the gold line to be a 4L 6 inline limited one...... ( honnestly out of box it is already lovely) I  have the aloy steering bars to put on it to. An unnecessary option but nice. My mn82  lc79 is out of box and It is my runner since up to  1 year. My grandson run it regulary. The only issue are the aqs. Same my 3800 mah charged by the imax b6 is killed after a little of runs....

Cheap but "untested" Acoms mk.ii TX & RX turned out to just be a bit dirty, but cleaned up & worked fine.

By the time you add in the cost of the two servos & 4xAA loom (+ modifying) it came to about the same as a complete, working loose set

This would appear to be a normal "New" Attack R TX of the FM 40mhz variety, but has been cross-pollinated with an Absima 2.4 steerwheel set & internal NiMH battery pack.

It arrived with an RX, original Absima manual & a charger. I had been hoping to open the TX up to see what had been done to it, but everything seems to have been glued up (including the empty xtal case & now non-extendable antenna & I don't want to force it - at least not until the battery fails.

Nice score !!

I saw that Acoms but dismissed it on the basis I REALLY don't need more TXs.
My Mk.IIIc has arrived & I need to sort through the spares to turn it into a complete boxed set. It came with a very clean box, TX, servo fittings & pennant plus a couple spare crystals. I have manuals, receivers & battery boxes, not sure if I have a couple decent AS-7 servos to complete the set though.

Caprinut is building a similar "Brundlefly" Futaba using a different 2.4 (I forget which)

These pop-ed up on eBay, 3D printed torsion bars for the XR311 / Cheetah.
2 E20 and 2 E22 according to the description.
I’m not sure I’d put them in a runner, but for around £10 it’s worth a try.
Fair play to the guy for making them, when I get a chance I’ll try them out.

... worth a try.

I hope they work out  My experience of the XR311/Cheetah suspension was that the square fittings in the wishbones would have really fine cracks at the corners - you think you were getting somewhere with setting up the suspension then clunk, the torsion bar would jump round 90 degrees & you'd lose all the springing
