You're not the only one. :(
Kinda hard to do the hobby like you'd really want without proper employment...
But we'll keep the progress on the cars going somehow! :pinch:

i have ordered some 4mm aluminium bar to make the 95mm rods for the hornet gearbox. so when i get it and cut it to size, if anyone wants one they are most welcome, free of charge :silly:

Well I have a job - but I can't do it ATM, have been off sick & pretty much housebound since September & stopped getting any money in November :( ... but to get off the "poor me" vibe - Agemax, if you make a wist list of everything you still want/need/would like for this project, I'll dig through my spares box & see what I can come up with :)

cheers Jonny, i wasnt digging for sympathy
the shocks are all i need to finish off the Hopper. as for the second build i will soon have a rolling chassis, i will need to get all the electrickery to go inside it to make it run. it is not an issue as i will have the Hopper to use and the other one will just be a long term "as and when" project.
some Hornet rear top and bottom shock mounts may help though

I can't help you with the shock mounts :( ... but electrics for your Pron Hopper I can do ... though they are all used, need some cleaning up & might not be your 1st choice :D :

RX - Haven't got any spare 27mhz ones :( ... but I do have a "RadioLink" 2.4ghz one & a "matching" stick TX; the RX is nominally a 6-channel unit, it doesn't have BEC so needs hooking up to an ESC that output a friendly voltage - not a Tamiya ESC in other words, it needs some very well bonded servo tape removing, the TX was a 4-channel flight one so had ratchets/springing badword about face, it's been fiddled with internally to have the right springing for 2-channel car use & also has some homemade "shift" plates, but you probably could put it back to normal ... no manual, but it's already "bound" to the TX & I'll work out where things should be connected ...

ESC - ModelsportUK Sniper RV-20 Auto - has been used (servo tape again) & has Powerpole connectors fitted - I can chuck in some more & a Tamiya type connector so you can make an adaptor ...

Motor: you can have a used 540 ... or a used Team Orion Element 19 ... I know technically it's above the capability of the ESC, but in that car & with that ESC I'd chance it as long as you're not daft about letting it bog down in/on high drag surfaces ... it does have some gravel rash on the casing & ideal the motor wires need resolding, but I just span it up & it sounds like it's got plenty of life left ... you're SOL for a pinion though  (needs an 18T 0.8 mod)

Steering servo: Acoms AS-17 servo - has been in a car (dust, screw marks & servo tape) but doesn't seem to have been used in anger (no dirt) ... little chance of a servo saver though ...

Bearings ... if you don't mind them being ones that have been in a car & may need cleaing/oiling then I can do that too ...

Battery I could probably do if you are really desperate - as in if you've only got one at the moment ... charger, no chance whatsoever :D

ok, bear with me.....
i have a 540 motor(i think), just needs a pinion gear.
i have plenty of batteries
steering servo i need, i have the linkages and servo saver
any ESC will do, i dont care as long as it works
RX i would like to work with my techniplus TX as i cant use both cars at once so i can just swap the chip in the TX
bearings i am ok with at the moment, i will upgrade as and when

Well in that case I'd rather send you a used Tamiya TEU101BK ESC ;) (needs a clean & has tape residue on it, also has Powerpoles on it but will send some bits to replace/make an adaptor) .. PM me your address & I can get that & the servo in the post ... though I've probably missed the collection for tonight :(
