Cheers, wb. Just had a look. They got some really nice motors. :)
And other great stuff too...
Couldn't resist the price of a CR-Tuned at Banzai in the meantime though.
Now I'm just hoping their stock indication is accurate (this time).

Wow, almost forgot how much fun it is to work on RC cars!
Cleaning up and rebuilding the front end of the Humvee at the moment.
Lots of pics to come...

:cheer:

Ah, found it! Last actual build progress was on page 47.
Realising I'm 23 pages behind with the index (which still works btw, despite the move!).

:pinch:

Anywho, getting up to speed where I was at... rear end completed, shimmed out to about 0,05mm and obviously mucho bling :

And even a bit more than on that picture :

Possibly the only DF-01, TA-1 or TA02 bathtub in the world with decent slop free steering :

And a GPM steering set that would normally only fit on an FRP chassis :

To be finished soon...

That's not true! I've copied it from your photo ;)
But it's currently just the bathtub. Maybe i'll get more parts to build up a touring car but i wanted to do this with a TT01. We'll see.

Here's a great read for inspiration. Thanks at Percymon and waterbok for the article. :)

I still don't understand why the df01 has no connection between the shock-towers. Only the TF Evo has it. But nice article at all!

I think it is because the Top Force is based on Manta Ray hop ups - a shell that needs an open shock tower for it's longer nose.
The carbon chassis is designed (and a hop up) for the Top Force.
The name/title of both optional items refers to this...

53099 Manta Ray FRP chassis set (listed a spare part for the TF)
53100 Top Force carbon graphite chassis set (listed as hop up for the TF)

:)

So one could argue it's not a full blood Top Force until it sits on carbon.

And that it can only officially be fitted on a Top Force, since it is not mentioned on other parts lists of the (long nosed) DF01s :

Only FRP...

 :)

Conventions we can put aside for the sake of awesomeness...

My MR has no longer a nose ;)
I want to have better weather! I have to finish cleaning the MR Body, fix it and repaint it. Also my BF is waiting...

Btw. back to the TRF TF: Indeed very nice details. No spoiler at back and the one at the front is smaller. It's like the newer ones. I think, they tool care about casual r/c drivers. I've often hit the curb with my MR as a kid. That would kill the whole front axles without it.

A chopped nose and closed shock tower looks good on any of these buggies. B)
I'm ready for some good weather too. Paint season. :silly:
