I'm thinking of a 'normal' mounting at the lower end and a small bracket at the top to lower the shocks a bit (for the body) and with which you can also create some extra offset so the shocks line up better...

but the shock hits the gearbox already with the wider mountings so no way will they fit on the standard bottom mounts

Okay, let's go a step back to here :

If you lower the top of the shocks a bit for the body and create some more width you'd be there, right?
Haven't done this mod before and it's kinda hard to see the whole picture when not having the car in front of me...

i will try to sort something but then that could make the rear end way to high.
i will rummage through my box of bits and see if i can invent something

You'll be getting some softer springs for the shocks too... ;)
CVAs can also be shortened by putting a spacer inside the damper housing - over the damper shaft.

these are a good hop up, 3mm thread, 3mm hole ball joints in steel.
would make your suspension stronger and the rose joint gives a bit of angle flexibility

You ordered a pair of these earlier, right?
Hope they match the discs that the springs rest on but they look like about the right size...

they are 5.4mm diameter on the thread shank. slightly smaller than the plastic ball joint fittings, i could always fit a washer between them and the bottom spring mounts if needed

I'll see if I can forward the new parts to you tomorrow. :cheer:
But I kinda want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything this time...
Will post a picture here before sending anything.

How's the modding brainstorm going?

i have shortened the rear shocks slightly with a spacer inside, thanks for the tip.
