I think the fun is often in the challenge. :silly:
Had a hard time adapting some aftermarket shocks to carbon fiber (flat) shock towers but that turned out quite well.
One can never have enough spacers in stock. :side:

This CVA mounting bracket would actually be a pretty good item to offer on eBay.
If they could be produced with not too much overhead...
I'd get them at least! So I can restore the rear side walls of my Grasshopper.

well i am spaced out trying all different combinations of spacers !
spacing the shocks wider apart is easy, but i cant work out how to make them lower so i think i got no option but to cut away some of the body to clear the shock tops :silly:

Don't mind if I apply for that one! :woohoo:

I will definitely be rerebuilding my Hybrid at some point...

i need my front end to look like this. is it standard hopper shock towers with a U bracket on the top and super hornet bottom suspension arms?

Yes, all correct statements. ;)
There is also a U-bracket at the bottom - mounted inside the suspension arm.
I think I'll be needing these again though. Which reminds me to have a look at the Super Fighter G parts.
If I remember well, there is also a small extra strengthening upgrade possible for the top.
Shocks are Super Hornet with shortened springs btw...
And large tie wraps for spacers.

Okay, Super Fighter G is a DT-02. Gotta look into that. Think I'm confusing a few models. :S

Edit - more along the lines of the Rising Fighter. Wordsmith Tamiya.

do the super hornet suspension arms bolt straight into a hopper?
if so are these the right ones?
also the bits on the top right of the pic, are these the cups that secure the bottom of the shocks if i use the ball joint bottom thingies?

They just fit without any destructive modding.
I'll make a picture of it...

Those are the right suspension arms.
Can't predict exactly if the lower end of the Ansmanns will fit but it looks like they will.
All you need to do is put a screw through.
I'll have to check the manual what the other parts are...

Btw - these are cheaper :
