From this angle, it looks a little silly. What I would do, is make wheel covers from spraycan lids, too make it look more "hot-rod-ish" something like this... My Projects:
Bullhead Rebuild ... Ford F350 Mods ... Manta Ray Revival ... Custom Super Hornet Build ... TL-01 Crawler ... CC-01 Pick-up ... CR-01 With Hop ups ... Project Unknown ... Clod crew cab ... Other: Custom Display cases ... Limited Slip Diff(LSD) ... |

Oh yeah, right on track with the Lotus.
I've been thinking about a Grasshopper hot rod too... Seems that Parma made a body like that in the past. If only one of these could be found. You could (simply) do what I did to give the back of the car some more impact btw : Serves as a good gearbox protection too... |

Made it myself - it's a piece of aluminium bent in a curve with four holes drilled in it (not in that order btw) which I attached over the axles with two tie wraps. After I sprayed it black. And I'll tell ya it's done it's functional job quite well : A piece of the gearbox would have surely broken off at the arrow otherwise... Grasshoppers that have been driven a lot often have a gearbox with the whole flange on the underside shaved off. |
