Mmm... I can't seem to locate separate spare oil seals for this one.
Not sure what would be a good replacement.

what about this

I think that is quite hard - 4000. I'd look in the direction of 1000 or so. I use even softer, about 600-800.
Not a damper oil specialist myself though...

100 is the thickness of water btw. If I'm correct.
And 700 (for example) is seven times thicker than water.

i reckon with the lunchbox springs i could go for the thinnest 250 grade.
im thinking i could get away without the top seals if i wrapped PTFE tape around the thread on the top mount :S

I wouldn't go too thin on the oil. Lars recommended thicker oil for older shocks in one of his builds.
Had a look on their site and I'd go for this one :

The oil seals also function as a bit of pressure damper so they have another purpose.
But you might get away with the wrap idea... ;)

Nice shocks! :woohoo:
And I'd do a matt finish... or leave them the way they are and add a few silver details on the body. ;)

wheels are going satin black. 1 sprayed just to make sure i am happy with it.
having trouble with the new rear shocks
got the hornet top mounts on and i got some bottom mounts (dont know where from?) that fit over the gearbox. seems like there is a ball joint affair going on here. i have the mounts and the ball joints but it looks like i need some little covers to secure them on.
anyone got a couple spare or if not what are the part numbers for them?
Edou, will the ball joint thingies screw on to the bottom of the shocks you sent me or do i have to work out a different solution?

satin black

I think you've chosen the best colour scheme. ;)

bottom mounts

Do I remember well that you ordered these modified mounts on eBay that don't need the metal covers?
