I suspect the rod ends/connectors you have (that go on the Grasshopper) are for 2mm thread...
That is an option of course but the matching rods would then also need to be 2mm.
The ones I linked to in my previous post have a 4mm ball connection and a 3mm thread. :)
Metal ball ends on the servo would remain the same in either case.

Maybe you can try them on the ball ends that are on the steering blocks...
They might have a 5mm ball connection - that's a more regular size.

ok, CVA's all bolted on and look cool, except the top nuts on the tower! but i've ordered a couple of stainless dome nuts which should finish it off nicely.

just need to sort the steering arms out now. i did find that if you swap them from one side to the other the longer one fits perfect length, but its not much use with one steering arm!
i wonder if there is another tamiya model with longer arms?
here is a pic of the 3mm ball joints i have, although they are not actually ball joints, they are just round rod ends. the long bolt is just to show they are 3mm threaded

now i just got to finish up modding the rear shocks to fit :woohoo:

How about M3 studding cut to the right length, with heatshrink (your favourite ;) ) to hide the exposed threads?
