oops, forgot you said no mail on mondays.
what springs do i need for the shocks? i have some lunchbox springs which fit over the shock body but there is nothing to support them at the bottom. i could make up a spacer to fit or can you buy these parts seperately?

right, tires ordered, next question is what to do with the wheels? :S
1, leave them silver
2, spray them white
3, spray them black

Mmm... did I forget to add D1?
And do the ball connectors (whatsitmecalled?) have the same shape as on the pic?
Think I was hurrying a bit too much to get it in the mail.
I'd go for black on the rims btw...

no worries about the D1 parts, i can wait for the shocks, they will go on the hopper.
the thingemywotsits look the same to me
i think black rims would look good too, make it kind of a stealth car, the white sides are going too, going to be carbon fibre.
do you think the lunchbox springs will work ok?
i still need to get some front shocks for the hornet so im not in a rush

Don't have any Manta Ray D1s anymore - just checked...
I could mail you some from a Hummer CVA - with the little whateveryounameits. They're a different combo.
But I'll have to see if the springs have the same diameter.
I'll double check on the Lunchbox springs but if they fit on the damper housing, I see no reason for them not to be a match.

Btw - cool idea with the carbon. B)

I came across your ' original grasshopper rebuild ' topic yesterday.
Seems to me it's part of this Hopper quest so I think I'll change the title to this one and merge the two...

ok, your the boss!
on the dampers, there i the body (obviously), the caps either end, the steel rod in the middle and the ball joint oojameflips at the bottom.
there are also 4 o rings, 2 for each damper i guess and a little black plastic spacer. what order do these bits go together?

I'll reverse the merging. Don't want you to lose the view count. ;)
It apparently adapts to the earliest topic...
